Ani DiFranco to Perform at Charter School Benefit

On Sunday, March 16, 2014, the annual Fête de la Musique to benefit the Lycée Français de la Nouvelle-Orleans will be held at Generations Hall. The event will feature an all star lineup that includes Ani DiFranco, the Fleur de Tease burlesque troupe, local Francophone band Sweet Crude, the Young Pinstripes Brass Band, Kermit Ruffins, and more.

There will be an open bar and cuisine from the finest local restaurants including Chateau du Lac Bistro, Cochon, Patois, Sylvain, and many more.

The patron party begins at 5 p.m. and will feature exclusive entertainment by Sasha Masakowski, a raw oyster bar, champagne, an open bar, and hors d’oeuvres. The main concert will be held from 6 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. and will feature a silent auction, open bar, and food from local restaurants.

All proceeds benefit Lycée Français, a free public charter school located in Uptown New Orleans, that educates students in the French curriculum culminating in both a French baccalaureate diploma as well as a Louisiana State diploma for its graduates.
