Baton Rouge’s Wakai to set out on debut tour

Baton Rouge’s rising hip-hop artist, Wakai, is gearing up for a significant breakthrough in his career as he joins rapper Mavi on the Texas leg of his “Laughing So Hard, It Hurts” world tour. This tour marks Wakai’s debut as a touring artist and is an exciting moment for his fans, who have been following his journey over the past few years.

The Texas leg of the tour will take place in San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas and will showcase the cutting edge of modern emcees. Wakai and Mavi are alternative hip-hop fan favorites leading the charge for the next generation of conscious rap.

The tour will commence with the release of Wakai’s first single from his upcoming project. The single, set to release on April 28, features two talented artists and is kicking off the rollout for Wakai’s album set to release later this year. This project will serve as a follow-up to his Travel Team, Vol. 3 project, released last year.

The dates and locations for the Texas leg of the tour are as follows:

  • San Antonio: April 13 at Paper Tiger
  • Austin: April 14 at Antone’s
  • Dallas: April 15 at Deep Ellum Art Co.
