Buckwheat’s World Documents Zydeco Legend on YouTube

Zydeco legend Buckwheat Zydeco is giving us a unique peek into his life through Buckwheat’s World, a YouTube series focused on the life of the accordion master.

Videos will cover every aspect of Buckwheat’s life, from hosting a cookout with his longtime friend and musical compatriot Paul “Lil’ Buck” Sinegal to jamming with his band.

Born Stanley Dural, Jr., the 67 year old Lafayette native has been active on the Zydeco music scene for much of the last four decades.

As recounted in a 1994 OffBeat article by Todd Mouton, Buckwheat Zydeco managed to put over 1 million miles on his tour bus, the “Buckwheat Express,” while playing with everyone from Eric Clapton to Willie Nelson and Keith Richards.

Buckwheat’s World has already displayed several aspects of the star’s life at home in Southeast Louisiana, from classic cars to live renditions of classic songs.
