Buddy Guy to headline the House of Blues New Orleans

Grammy Award-winning guitar pioneer Buddy Guy will perform at the House of Blues New Orleans on Friday, September 29.

Despite being a native of Lettsworth, LA, Guy moved to Chicago in his youth and went on to become a leading exponent of the city’s blues tradition. His energetic style also had an immeasurable influence on some of rock and roll’s most important figures, including Jimi Hendrix, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimmy Page.

At 81 years old, Guy is still recording new music and touring the world on a regular basis. He last performed in New Orleans during this year’s Jazz & Heritage Festival, an event that has hosted him on numerous occasions.  His 2015 album Born to Play Guitar earned him his most recent Grammy Award for Best Blues Album.

Tickets for the show will go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday, July 28.
