Burlesque Show to Raise Money for Louisiana Flood Relief

Burlesque and variety troupe The Society of Sin will team up with newly formed production company Generous Eyeliner for a flood relief show at Eiffel Society in New Orleans on Friday, August 19. As previously reported, thousands of people have been affected by ongoing floods that ravaged much of Louisiana.

13996116_1786707388281971_8242744252767464568_oBilled as Pure Evil: The Villains Give Back, the event will feature “delightfully evil burlesque with performers playing tribute to their favorite villains,” as well as comedy acts and raffle prizes. Performers include Xena Zeit-Geist, Jade Patton, Remy Dee, Katie East, Evan Rabalais, Kedavara, Sarah Duprix, Darling Darla James, Dustin Danger Stevens and more.

100% of raffle ticket sales, along with 20% of the proceeds from the bar and door for the entire evening, will go the United Way Flood Relief Fund.

Organizers will also be collecting items for those in need, such as water, non-perishable food items, unopened packs of clothes, toiletries, cleaning products, school supplies, pet food, baby items, phone chargers and more. Those that bring items for the prize will be given five free raffle tickets.

The show will begin at 10pm, with doors opening at 9pm. Tickets for the benefit are now on sale.
