CAC To Host SweetArts 2016: A 1970’s Chic Party

The Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) will be presenting SweetArts 2016, a yearly fundraiser featuring arts, live music and food, and a late night party on Saturday, February 27.

Also serving as a prelude to the CAC’s 40th anniversary season, the event’s theme will revolve around the art and culture of the decade in which the institution was founded — the 1970’s. Festivities will kick off with a “Disco Throwback” performance by jazz vocalist Anaïs St. John.

SweetArts 2016 will features an open bar and local cuisine, and guests are encouraged to wear costumes pertaining to the “1970’s chic” theme.

Guests will also have a last chance to view the Jacqueline Humphries and James Hoff: B=R=I=C=K=I=N=G exhibitions, on their  in the CAC galleries

The late night party will also feature an open bar, as well as food trucks and a DJ set by Bouffant Bouffant.

The event will run from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets are available for $100, Late Night Party tickets for $50. The CAC is located downtown, at 900 Camp Street.
