Celebrate 12 Years of Republic With Mannie Fresh

This Friday, December 8, Republic will be celebrating its 12-year anniversary.

For over a decade, Republic has remained prominent in New Orleans’ ever-growing music venue circuit. Located in the Warehouse District, the venue has featured many well-known artists both interntional and local.

The venue will be staying true to character as it commemorates this milestone, featuring one of New Orleans’ fastest growing electronic artists CRWNS and long-time resident at Republic, DJ G.

Headlining the event is legendary New Orleans based producer and DJ, Mannie Fresh. Fresh is an undeniably influential and prominent figure in the New Orleans music scene; he has produced tracks the likes of Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G and various other artists rapped over. Fresh also produced Juvenile’s 1998 album 400 Degreez, featuring “Back that Azz Up,” an undisputed hallmark in the Big Easy rap scene. He was recently featured on the cover of OffBeat along with Flow Tribe, for whom he served as producer.

With a headliner like that, this show is surely one you wouldn’t want to miss. Republic has made a name for itself over the years as an outstanding electronic music venue and the mix of electronic and rap is very distinctively ‘Republic.’ The mix of rising stars and secured legends is also, certainly, a trademark of Republic. But the artists’ roots, origins, and influences are unmistakably New Orleans!

Doors open at 10 p.m. and tickets for the 18+ range from $10 to $15.
