Central City Festival Unveils Lineup

The 10th annual Central City Festival will bring an afternoon of live music and dance to Oretha Castle Halery Boulevard on Saturday, November 5.

Artists on the bill include Bamboula 2000, Alexey Marti & Urban Minds, Big Chief Brian Harrison Nelson & the Nouveau Bounce with special guest 5th Ward Weebie, a gospel tribute to Rev. Lois Dejean and more. The Free Agents Brass Band will also lead a second line with the Creole Belle Baby Dolls, while Hollywood and DJ Kimya are set to emcee.

In addition to the music and dance performances, Central City Festival will feature food trucks, beer, craft vendors, children’s activities, non-profit organizations and a health expo.

Central City Festival will take place on the 1600 and 1700 blocks of Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard. Performances will kick off at 11am and last until 6pm.

As usual, the festival will be free and open to the public.
