Childish Gambino cancels Voodoo Fest; Travis Scott to replace

This Saturday, October 27, “This Is America” rapper and “Redbone” singer Childish Gambino will no longer be a headlining performer at the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience at City Park in New Orleans.

The rapper, singer, actor and writer, born Donald Glover, was forced to cancel his appearance under doctor’s orders following a serious foot injury. When news of his broken foot was first made public in September, he was still slated to appear at Voodoo Fest but it seems his injury has not recovered enough for him to take to the stage.

In his place is one of rap music’s brightest stars. Travis Scott, the Houston rapper whose latest album ASTROWORLD is one of the most acclaimed mainstream records of the year, will perform in Gambino’s 9:45-11 p.m. slot on the Altar stage.
