Get ready for DJ Soul Sister’s 6th Annual Birthday Jam this Sunday, September 16 at Tipitina’s. If you haven’t caught one of the previous five, it’s celebration like no other. This year, the Queen of Rare Groove is planning to turn the funk-o-meter up to 11 as she presents modern day funk juggernaut DaM-Funk.
Nearly two years ago, Soul Sister hosted a DaM-Funk throwdown at One Eyed Jacks, and this time around the pair have a little something extra up their sleeves, as DaM-Funk will arrive with his full band in tow. In keeping with her birthday tradition, Soul Sister will kick off the bash with a DJ set.
