Dave Chappelle, Chris Tucker Add Two More New Orleans Shows

UPDATE: Due to overwhelming demand, Dave Chappelle and Chris Tucker have announced a fourth New Orleans show for Saturday, February 18. This will be in addition to their previously scheduled shows on February 15-17.

Dave Chappelle and Chris Tucker have added two more New Orleans stops to their upcoming co-headlining tour. Due to high demand, the pair will now perform at the Saenger Theatre on Thursday, February 16 and Friday, February 17 in addition to their show on Wednesday, February 15.

chapelleTickets for the new dates are on sale now.

Both Chappelle and Tucker have revived their stand up careers in recent years after taking some time off from the limelight.

Chappelle last performed in New Orleans when his comeback tour came to the Saenger in December 2014. Known for his eponymous Comedy Central show, which ran from 2003-2005, Chapelle returned to the small screen last month when he hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time. He’s slated to release three stand up sets via Netflix in 2017.

Tucker revived his career in 2012 with a role in the Oscar-winning film Silver Linings Playbook. Much like Chapelle, the Rush Hour actor also inked a stand up comedy deal with Netflix, which released its Chris Tucker – Live special in 2015.

Much like Chappelle and Tucker, comedian Chris Rock also expanded his upcoming New Orleans run—from one to three days—due to overwhelming demand. Amy Schumer, on the other hand, was not as successful. The Comedy Central star just relocated her New Year’s Eve set to the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts after originally scheduling it in the much larger Smoothie King Center.
