Deutsches Haus will host Volksfest on April 30 and May 1.

Deutsches Haus is hosting Volksfest on June 1

Tomorrow, June 1, Deutsches Haus hosts Volksfest, a mini festival with music, dancing, a chicken walk (you read that correctly), wine tastings, a scavenger hunt and more. Volksfest takes place from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Deutsches Haus is located at 1700 Moss St.

“Come as you are or put on your flower headbands, dirndls, lederhosen and hats. Bring your cloth fest chairs and enjoy the shade under the oaks,” say organizers. Admission is $5 for adults and there’s on-site parking available for $5. Kids under age 12 get in free. Deutsches Haus members get in and park for free, as long as they present a Membership Card.
