Drew Brees Shares His Favorite New Orleans Restaurant

It’s usually a bad sign when a professional athlete ends up in the pages of TMZ, a popular celebrity gossip website known for, among other things, breaking the Ray Rice domestic violence story.

Good thing Drew Brees is no ordinary professional athlete.

The beloved New Orleans Saints quarterback was recently approached by a TMZ reporter, who asked him to answer a surprisingly innocuous question: “If somebody comes to New Orleans, what’s the one thing they’ve got to eat?”

After nearly ten years in the city, it’s a question Brees was able to tackle with complete confidence. His answer: Ye Olde College Inn.

That’s right, Brees quickly noted that the Carrollton Avenue eatery–established in 1933–is his “favorite spot” in town. When pressed for a particular dish on the menu, he told the reporter to take his pick before eventually landing on the “country fried steak po boy” (Editor’s Note: the item is actually listed as the “chicken fried steak po boy”).
