Gretna Heritage Festival Announces 2023 Lineup

The lineup for the 29th annual Gretna Heritage Festival has been revealed, offering a variety of musical acts and entertainment. The festival began in 1994 and continues to be a popular tradition in the region, attracting visitors from different parts of the country. Gretna Fest has gradually gained popularity since its inception, and previous performers, such as The Revivalists, John Fogerty, and The Beach Boys, have contributed to its growing fan base. This year’s event is scheduled from Friday, October 6, through Sunday, October 8.

Headlining this year’s festival are Trombone Shorty, who will perform on Friday; Lynyrd Skynyrd, who will take the stage Saturday; and Kool and the Gang, who are set to close the festival on Sunday. 

Other notable acts that will grace the stage this year include The Temptations, Lee Brice, Lukas Nelson + POTR, Blues Traveler, Ashley McBryde, JJ Grey & Mofro, Herman’s Hermits, Trampled By Turtles, Starrins, Peter Noone, Los Lobos and more.

This year’s lineup also includes many hometown favorites, most notably, Dumpstaphunk, The Iceman Special, Irma Thomas, Zita, and the Treme Brass Band will perform throughout the weekend.

Tickets are available now on the Gretna Heritage Festival official website. Festival-goers can purchase single-day passes for $30 or weekend passes for $60. Children under four years old can enter for free. The festival will once again be cashless and there will be food, drink, and arts vendors on site.

The Gretna Heritage Festival allows attendees to enjoy diverse music and celebrate the community. The event is family-friendly and aims to provide a weekend of entertainment for all.
