Hell’s Gala Returns to New Orleans With A Two-Day Halloween Event

Hell’s Gala, the New Orleans’ Halloween celebration, returns in 2023 with a two-day lineup at Mardi Gras World. The event will feature Subtronics, who recently appeared at Bonnaroo, headlining on October 27, and John Summit taking center stage on October 28.

For 13 years, Hell’s Gala has been a highlight of Halloween weekend in New Orleans, bringing together local, regional, national and international electronic talent. Previous lineups have showcased notable names like Excision, Illenium, Steve Aoki, RL Grime, Slander and Benny Benassi. The 2022 edition emphasized house music, featuring acts like Fisher, Walker & Royce, Merger, and Troyboi. The last three years’ events sold out, with the 2022 gathering hosting a record-breaking 4,000 attendees.

In a first-time move, event organizers Winter Circle Productions and Encore Entertainment LLC have extended the event to two days for its 14th edition. Following their collaborative set at EDC Las Vegas, where Subtronics and John Summit performed together as “SUBJOHNICS,” they’ve chosen to celebrate their individual musical identities for Hell’s Gala 2023. Subtronics, a prominent dubstep artist, and John Summit, a key figure in the resurgence of house music, are set to close out their respective nights.

On the first night, attendees will see sets by Balan, Ubur B2B Phiso, Level Up and Dr. Fresch before Subtronics takes the stage. Night two promises performances by Merger, Aluna and Mau P, leading up to John Summit’s house music set. The Riverside stage will also feature more artists yet to be revealed.

Hell’s Gala offers a unique experience featuring two stages, local food vendors, sponsor activations, costume contests and art installations. VIP ticket holders can enjoy an open bar happy hour from 9 p.m. to midnight, access to elevated viewing and more.
