Tipitina's -- and its owners Galactic -- are asking the public for help

Here’s how you can help Tipitina’s during the pandemic

Tipitina’s, the New Orleans music venue beloved by locals and tourists from across the world, has been deeply impacted by the measures set to stop the spread of COVID-19. Because of the city’s order to close venues and maintain social distance, Tipitina’s has had to close its doors for the time being, leaving its dutiful bartenders, security, door, and production staff without work. The live music venue is one of New Orleans’ most celebrated locales, and has hosted legendary performers such as Professor Longhair, Dr. John, Allen Toussaint, and non-local stars like Pearl Jam, James Brown, and Funkadelic. It has provided unforgettable music and experiences for so many, and now asks you to consider giving back during its time of need.

To support its staff and maintain the venue, Tipitina’s is participating in  some creative fundraising offers. They are offering an “advance drink purchase” to anyone who donates money during this time. Donors will receive a drink voucher for a show at a later date as a thank you for their patronage.

Additionally, Tipitina’s is introducing Top Banana, which offers access to the venue for you and a guest for life. This amazing deal is asked for the price of $10,000 which will fully go towards helping the staff and keeping this historic venue afloat during this dark and uncertain period. Lifetime access to Tipitina’s excludes benefits and fundraisers, but you can attend all the incredible shows you could ever dream of.

Donations can be made to Tipitina’s through PayPal, Venmo, and GoFundMe.
