Hogs for the Cause announce music lineup and ticket sales

Coming off a sold-out 2021 festival that raised nearly $3 million, Hogs for the Cause returns to the UNO Lakefront Arena Festival Grounds, April 1-2, 2022. Twenty renowned acts from across the country, along with more than ninety BBQ teams, will come together over the two-day event to raise funds for families battling pediatric cancer.

With its most notable musical lineup to date, headliners for the 2022 event include Shakey Graves, winner of an Americana Music Awards “Best Emerging Artist;” multi-Grammy Award winner Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers; hometown heroes, Galactic featuring Luther Dickinson of the North Mississippi Allstars and former member of The Black Crowes; Yonder Mountain String Band, the quintessential ensemble that is breaking unprecedented ground and who just released a new album on December 3; James McMurtry, Americana singer and songwriter, who has dominated the Americana charts this year; and Nashville-based breakout solo artist Allison Russell. Russell finds herself in a good place going into the 2022 Grammy Awards with three nominations, including Americana Album of the Year. Outside Child was released in late May on Fantasy Records and received immediate acclaim for its insightful and healing reflections on the horrible abuse she suffered in her youth. Its song “Nightflyer” has been tagged for two possible Grammys, as American Roots Song and American Roots Performance.

“A record-breaking 2021 festival gave us the confidence to go even bigger in 2022,” said Becker Hall, co-founder and chief executive officer of Hogs for the Cause. “We’re absolutely thrilled to be presenting such a robust lineup and are looking forward to another sold-out show!”

“Our 2022 capacity will be limited from our typical levels, but the move back to UNO has allowed us to actually lower our ticket prices from our 2021 event,” said Rene Louapre, Hogs Co-Founder. ” Because of this, we’re expecting tickets to sell quickly, so we encourage fans to get the specially-priced Early Birds while they can!”

A very limited number of specially-priced “Early Bird” tickets go on sale to the public on Tuesday, December 7, at 9 a.m. CST on HogsFest.org.
