Lineup on first-ever Jazz Fest Wednesday featuring Rolling Stones includes Louisiana-based acts

The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival announced acts that will appear on Wednesday, October 13, preceding a much-anticipated concert by the Rolling Stones on the Acura Stage at the close of the day.

The acts, most of which are Louisiana-based, will include Voice of the Wetlands All-Stars featuring Tab Benoit, George Porter Jr., Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Johnny Vidacovich, Johnny Sansone, and Wayne Thibodeaux, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Anders Osborne, Samantha Fish, The Dave Brubeck Centennial featuring Chris and Dan Brubeck with special guests Joey DeFrancesco and Bobby Militello, Pell, Cowboy Mouth, Charley Crockett, Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band, Lena Prima, Mem Shannon & the Membership, Free Agents Brass Band, Joe Krown & Jason Ricci featuring Walter Wolfman Washington, Philip Manuel, New Orleans Suspects, SOUL Brass Band, Seva Venet’s New Orleans Banjo Celebration, Alexey Marti, Spyboy J & Thee Storm Mardi Gras Indians, Louis Ford & His New Orleans Flairs, Claude Bryant & The All-stars, On The Levee Jazz Band, Lyle Henderson & Emmanu-EL, T’Monde, Drake Milligan, Treces del Sur Latin Band, Jackson Square Allstar Brass Band, Jacye & ‘em, The Trio Plus One, Davis Rogan, Akia J. Nevills, The Gospel Inspirations of Boutte, Lady Prince of Wales and Women of Class Social Aid & Pleasure Clubs, Cheyenne and the Young Seminole Hunters Mardi Gras Indians along with other performers yet to be announced.

All stages will go dark by the time the Rolling Stones take the stage in late afternoon, likely around 4 p.m.

General admission and VIP tickets for The Rolling Stones at Jazz Fest go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 30. The following prices are good for Wednesday, October 13 only: General Admission: $190 | Grand Marshal VIP (Pit): $675 | Big Chief VIP (Viewing Stands): $650 |Krewe of Jazz Fest VIP (Viewing Stand): $475.
