Auditions for the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival & Foundation’s (free) Fall 2015 Don “Moose” Jamison School of Music will take place this Saturday, September 12th at 10 a.m. The School of Music offers lessons to local youth in brass, woodwinds, piano, bass, drums, guitar, voice, and theory.

Auditions will also be held for two newer programs, the Jazz & Heritage All-City Big Band and the Jazz & Heritage Brass Band. All will take place at the foundation’s new facility, the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center, which can be found at 1225 North Rampart St.

The three programs are free and open to students ages 10-17 from throughout the greater New Orleans region.
