Krewe of Boo! Hosts Zombie Run and Monster Mash for Halloween

Nowhere does Halloween like New Orleans does, and part of that tradition is the much loved Krewe of Boo! Parade. For those who want to get a little spooky from morning to night, Krewe of Boo! is also throwing the New Orleans Zombie Run and the Monster Mash on Saturday, October 21.krewe of boo!

The first ever New Orleans Zombie Run is a two-mile race that starts at Generations Hall in the Warehouse District, goes through the French Quarter, and ends on Frenchmen Street. Runners (or walkers!) are encouraged to dress as a zombie or monster of choice. The Big Easy Rollergirls are also making an appearance as zombie killers. Registration begins at 8a.m. and the race starts 30 minutes later. Those who want to register now can for $20 early bird registration or $50 VIP registration, which includes an open bar at the end of the race from 10a.m.-1p.m., food while it lasts and private restrooms. All participants receive a 2017 Zombie Run t-shirt.

krewe of booAfter the Zombie Run and parade, head over to the Krewe of Boo! Monster Mash at Generations Hall to celebrate parade float titan Blaine Kern’s 90th birthday. The party will feature performances from A Flock of Seagulls, DJ TAF, and DJ Wixx, and a costume contest. Doors are at 8p.m. and the party will go on until 3a.m. The event is ages 18 and up to enter, with general admission tickets for $25 and VIP tickets for $85.
