LAST CALL FOR THREADHEAD RAFFLE

The good folks in the Threadhead organization would like it to be known that two more days (until 11:59pm Friday, April 19) remain to get in on their charity raffle. Tickets are available at $1 through $10 levels, and each level brings a higher class of prizes– for instance, the $10 level prizes are all worth more than $500. Threadhead Records have released a stack of essential local music over the past few years, and prizes include their music, Jazz Fest shirts and memorabilia, posters, Saints gear, food packages (including a soft-shell crab po-boy every day of the Fest) and at the upper end, a free holiday in New Orleans. At present there are 162 prizes to be distributed, which means the odds of winning something ain’t all that unlikely. (The raffle was originally set to close after Thursday, but one more day has been added to the deadline).

Some winners will be announced at the Threadhead Patry, the annual all-day charity gig that happens this year at the Old Ironworks on Tuesday, April 30; and features the Tin Men, the Mercy Brothers, Li’l Band O’Gold and more.

Raffle tickets are available here until midnight Friday.
