Lil Wayne headlines live-streaming UPROAR Hip Hop Festival

New Orleans own Lil Wayne will headline the UPROAR Hip Hop Festival at The Torch streamed live from Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Friday, August 13. The immersive and interactive music, arts and nightlife experience, presented by Mandolin, will also feature Young Money and friends.

Fans all over the globe will be able to navigate the Lil Wayne UPROAR experience from the digital stage to other areas of the festival, taking part in UPROAR in real time as if they were at The Torch in person. The interactive live stream features include chatting with friends, joining watch parties, engaging in on-site activations and purchasing exclusive merchandise.

Along with the live main stage show and dance competition, there will also be backstage camera access, pre-recorded content, pre-show entertainment, and roaming audience cameras. Select VIP All Access Virtual Ticket holders will have access to the artist tent, where cutting-edge technology offers fans the chance to engage with Lil Wayne and other artists.

Last year, Lil Wayne was hit with a federal weapons charge and could face serious prison time if convicted. The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida charged the rapper with one count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. If convicted, the Hollygrove native who was convicted of a felony gun charge in New York in 2009 will face up to 10 years in prison. The rapper had quite a tumultuous 2020. In addition to releasing his highly anticipated album No Ceilings 3, Wayne came under fire for openly supporting President Donald Trump during the election cycle.
