It Looks Like Trey Anastasio Band Will Be at Jazz Fest

The arrival of Jazz Fest’s lineup is (hopefully) right around the corner, but it looks like we’ve got one of our first confirmed acts for this year’s festival.

c2e_ec8uoaae_g4As reported by Relix, a few industrious Twitter users noticed that Trey Anastasio Band percussionist Cyro Baptista had a stop at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on the tour dates section of his website. The date has since been removed from his site, but Twitter user @bizarchive managed to capture a screenshot.

An appearance from the Trey Anastasio Band makes perfect sense considering the band’s current tour schedule, which includes an April 23 stop at Atlanta’s Sweetwater 420 Festival and a April 29 stop at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater in Austin.

Trey Anastasio last took the stage at Jazz Fest in 2014 when his other band, Phish, headlined the Acura Stage. His last Trey Anastasio Band set at the Fest took place in 2005, when he also sat in with the Neville Brothers during their headlining set.
