Louis Armstrong House Museum to Honor Dr. John, Cyril Neville

The Louis Armstrong House Museum will honor legendary New Orleans musicians Dr. John and Cyril Neville at this year’s annual gala. The gala will also recognize Robert F. Smith, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Vista Equity Partners. The event will take place at Capitale in New York City on Wednesday, December 2.

The gala will begin at 6pm with cocktails and hors d’oeurves, while the dinner, awards ceremony and performances will begin at 7pm. Organizers have asked that attendees come in festive attire. Those that would like to attend must RSVP via email gala(at)LouisArmstrongHouse.org by November 18.

The Louis Armstrong House Museum–whose advisory board includes Wynton Marsalis and Jazz Fest founder George Wein, among others–is a National Historic Landmark and New York City Landmark that preserves and promotes the cultural legacy of Louis Armstrong. The building was the home of Louis Armstrong and his wife Lucille from 1943 until his death in 1971.
