New Orleans Artists to Lead Jam Sessions on Cruise Ship

jam cruiseThe event, a one-of-a-kind music festival that takes place on a cruise ship, will return to the high seas January 6-11, when it sets sail from Miami, FL. Along the way, the ship will make stops in Belize City, Belize and Cozumel, Mexico.

Each night of the cruise features a special Jam Room session led by a different host, who invites a variety of musicians on board the ship to join in  a late night, improvisational party. The unique collaborations, which often last until sunrise, have been a hallmark of past Jam Cruises.

Porter and Daniel aren’t the only New Orleans acts that are scheduled to appear on Jam Cruise 14–not by a long shot. The event will be headlined by Dr. John & The Nite Trippers, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue and Galactic, while Anders Osborne, Dumpstaphunk and many more are slated to perform. Additionally, Porter, Johnny Vidacovich, Leo Nocentelli and Mike Dillon will appear as artists-at-large.

Cabins on this year’s Jam Cruise are still available and more information on the event can be found via its website.
