New Orleans Musicians Clinic Organizing Blood Drive

The New Orleans Musicians Clinic has announced that they will organize socially-distanced, cautious blood drives by appointment in the month of February. Giving blood is a simple thing to do, but it can make a big difference in the lives of others.

Blood drives will be held at Tipitina’s, 501 Napoleon Avenue, February 6 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and at The Howlin’ Wolf, 907 S. Peters Street, February 12 from 1-7 p.m.

Organizers state: “Thanks to our generous blood donors, hosts, community partners, musicians, and supporters we aim to raise 125 pints in the 2 drives. 1 pint of donated blood = 3 transfusions!! All successful whole blood donations will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies, giving some the opportunity to donate their plasma to patients in need.”

Note: Social distancing measures will be strictly enforced. Appointments are required. To sign up, visit neworleansmusiciansclinic.org/blooddrive.
