No Muses Tonight

[UPDATE BELOW] The Saints have been properly celebrated (and will likely continue to be celebrated for the next week), and it’s truly Carnival Time. Tonight offered three parades Uptown: Babylon at 5:45 p.m., Muses at 6:15 (starting at Jefferson and Magazine) and Chaos at 6:30. However, the promise of rain and possibly sleet tonight has led to the postponement of Muses until Friday night. No word yet about the other parades, but moving Muses to Friday will make for a very, very long night tomorrow with Hermes, Krewe d’Etat and Morpheus already scheduled. If Muses moves in front of Morpheus, will anybody see the second-tier parade?

UPDATE 12:23 p.m.: All of Thursday’s parades are off because of the bad weather in the forecast. Muses has moved to Friday, Babylon has moved to Sunday and Chaos isn’t parading this year. We haven’t seen a time for Babylon yet, but one unconfirmed report has Muses rolling at 7:15 after Hermes, starting at Tchoupitoulas and Napoleon instead of Jefferson and Magazine.

UPDATE 2:45 p.m.: Muses will roll at approximately 8 p.m. after Morpheus Friday night starting at Magazine and Napoleon.

UPDATE: 6:00 p.m.: Babylon will roll at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, the first parade to roll that day.
