NOLA Reggae Fest is back for another year of Jamaican-inspired fun at Congo Square

From Friday, Oct. 18 to Saturday, Oct. 19, NOLA Reggae Fest will take over Congo Square, filling the space with two stages, a music tent and food and drink vendors.

On Friday, at the One Love Stage, DJ Silent Killa kicks off the party at 4 p.m. From 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., 2nd Lion Band will perform, followed by another performance from DJ Silent Killa. Then, at 7 p.m., Claude Bryant & The All-Stars take the stage, ending their set at 7:30 p.m., when Indie Allen will close the night. The Soul Rebel Stage will feature sets by DJ Davy and DJ DLife.

On Saturday, the party starts much earlier, with DJ Silent Killa opening again at 12 p.m. From there, Claude Bryant & The All Stars and Indie Allen will perform again. At 3 p.m., DJ Kash will keep the party going until 3:30 p.m., when Lioness Order will perform. Saturday will also feature performances by Iris P, Ragin Rebelz, Kodjo and Live Wyya. Closing out the festival, with a performance at 7:10 p.m., Tanto Metro & Devonte, the Jamaican dancehall duo, will play their hits, such as 1999’s “Everyone Falls in Love.” The Soul Rebel Stage’s Saturday lineup features performances by Titanium Sound, DJ Davy, DJ T-Roy, DJ Raj Smoove–who was recently featured on the cover of OffBeat’s Sept. 2019 issue–and DJ DLife. Saturday will also include the Silent Kaya Tent, where DJ Raj Smoove, DJ Ojay and DJ Legatron Prime will perform.

General admission for Friday is $5 and grants each guest a souvenir wristband for festival vendor access. Saturday general admission is $10, and besides the souvenir wristband it includes one drink ticket. For $70, the festival also offers souvenir admission for Saturday–a ticket package that comes with a festival t-shirt. Irie VIP Tickets cost $115 and includes the festival t-shirt and four drink tickets. VIP tickets are limited.

Congo Square is located at 701 N. Rampart St. For more information about the festival, including information on how to buy tickets, visit the NOLA Reggae Festival website, here.
