Lost Bayou Ramblers, Khris Royal & Dark Matter and Ambushin’ Bastards, a supergroup featuring Dave Malone, Reggie Scanlan, Jake Eckert, Doug Belote and John “Papa” Gros, will each close out one of the festival’s three stages.

Other acts on the bill include Honey Island Swamp Band, Los Po-Boy Citos, Corey Henry’s Treme Funktet, Iko Allstars (a Grateful Dead tribute with Billy Iuso, Johnny Vidacovich, Papa Mali and others), Darcy Malone & the Tangle and more. Music will take place from 10am to 8pm, though the Maple Leaf will host an after party with Joe Krown Trio.

Po-Boy Fest’s three stages will be spread across the neighborhood. The Oak & Eagle Stage will be located at–you guessed it–the intersection of Oak and Eagle Streets, while the Pint Alley Stage will go up at Leonidas and Willow Streets. Those looking to escape the outdoors will be able to check out the Joox Stage inside the Maple Leaf (the Saints game will also be shown inside the venue at noon).

As noted in the latest issue of OffBeat, this year will mark the first time that Po-Boy Fest has taken place in October. Past editions of the gathering, which celebrates New Orleans’ most famous indigenous sandwich, had been held in November. It will once again be free and open to the public.
