The first annual Swamp Jam formed out of a collaboration between Alex Massa (local trumpeter), Dumptruck Stroupe (touring event host), and Jeffrey Chitek and AJ Nash (local entrepreneurs).

In a “it’s so crazy, it just might work” spirit – The Swamp Jam is held behind The Pit Stop, a truck stop bar in Pearl River, Louisiana that also serves as a launch for New Orleans Kayak Swamp Tours.
Guests enjoyed a weekend of camping, a kayak tour, food by Oscar of New Orleans, and an eclectic lineup of music that included a fireside acoustic performance by Austin-based band, Desilu, Chris Christy, Fat Ballerina featuring Kristina Morales, Yes Ma’am, Smoker’s World featuring Christin Bradford, Debauche, and capped off by a scorching set by Chris Mule & the Perpetrators featuring Papa Mali.
