Support New Orleans culture bearers with the purchase of a poster

Feed the Second Line NOLA has partnered with the OffBeat online shop on the sale of a poster featuring an image of Queen Tahj of the Golden Eagles Mardi Gras Indian tribe. Inspired by a photograph taken by Lanitrah Hasan, the Alex Kilburn-designed poster pays homage to the vibrant and rich heritage of New Orleans culture bearers.

Feed the Second Line is the Krewe of Red Beans’ nonprofit organization which provides meals for musicians, Mardi Gras Indians, Social Aid & Pleasure Club members, artists, and other cultural figures throughout New Orleans. “These second line members are the culture bearers of our city, and with many at risk due to COVID-19, it’s time we help them too,” says the organization’s website.

Proceeds from the $25 sale of the 13″ x 19″ poster will go directly towards Feed the Second Line.
