The Revivalists hit #1 on Billboard Alternative Songs Chart

The Revivalists hit #1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs Chart this week with their hit single “Wish I Knew You.” After sitting at #2 last week, the single bumped Imagine Dragons’ “Believer” out of the top spot this time around.

Despite being released nearly two years ago, the catchy tune has demonstrated some serious staying power. Originally featured on The Revivalists’ 2015 album Men Amongst Mountains, “Wish I Knew You” got a boost after the band put out a nostalgia-tinged music in February of last year. It’s popularity has only grown since then, bringing the song to the top of the Billboard Adult Alternative Songs Chart this past September and earning the band appearances on Conan, The Ellen Degeneres Show and The Today Show.

Unsurprisingly, “Wish I Knew You” has been a hit during The Revivalists’ live shows as well, even putting an exclamation point on their fantastic—and packed—Acura Stage set at Jazz Fest. It also scored them Best of the Beat Awards for Song of the Year and Best Music Video, in addition to their awards for Artist of the Year, Best Rock Artists and Songwriter of the Year (for frontman David Shaw).

The Revivalists will swing through much of North America this summer when they hit the road for a lengthy tour.
