Second annual Legends of New Orleans hip-hop celebrates local artists

The Howlin’ Wolf will host the second annual Legends of New Orleans Hip-Hop show Saturday, January 7. Featuring Partners-N-Crime, DJ Jubilee and friends honor local emcees, producers, DJs and more with awards and live music.

The “honorees” this year include Polo Silk, DJ Captain Charles, DJ Troy D, DJ Slick Leo, DJ Pratt Da Catt, Mobo Joe, Mean Green, Wickett Crickett, Ice Mike, Bobby Callier, Mixx Maestro, Jabber Jaws and New Orleans hip hop picture man.

This year’s lineup includes Partners-N-Crime, DJ Jubilee, Lil Ya from UNLV, TT Tucker, Bust Down, Hot Boy Ronald, Kilo, and Katey Red.

The event will provide nostalgic entertainment for fans of classic New Orleans Hip Hop. It will also feature a special treat for those unable to attend in person, in the form of Pay-Per-View, allowing the event to be viewed from any phone, tablet, computer or television. Following the devastating hurricanes, thousands of New Orleanians and hip-hop fans were displaced around the country. The Pay-Per-View ticket option allows fans to experience it as if they were there.

Music Tributes include Warren Mayes, Tim Smooth, MC Thick and Tre-8.

The event will be hosted by Downtown Lesli Brown, guest hosted by Joel Ware of RTL S.4 on OWN TV and the Legendary DJ Ro on Channels 1 and 2.
