This holiday season, ASM Global New Orleans and Smoothie King Center are collaborating with Covenant House New Orleans, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth facing homelessness and survivors of trafficking in New Orleans and the surrounding areas, for a donation campaign this holiday season.Smoothie King Center is Collecting Donations

There will be donation bins located at Smoothie King Center entrances during all events on December 1 through December 15, 2023. Concert and event attendees are encouraged to contribute essential items such as Walmart gift cards, ethnic hair care tools, toothpaste, liquid Dove soap or sensitive skin soap, lotion, and deodorant. Additionally, as winter is approaching, attendees can donate, new, packaged, and unopened underwear (all genders), socks, blankets, towels and wash cloths, feminine hygiene products, winter hats, gloves & scarves.

Financial donations are also vital for Covenant House to sustain support. One-time and monthly amounts are accepted, which make an impact in providing nutritious meals, nights of care, tickets home to reunite young persons with family, street outreach, and assisting in turning no youth away by furnishing new rooms in their resident Care Center. Since 1987, Covenant House has steadfastly kept its doors open, providing a safe haven for youth in crisis. The organization relies heavily on donations from individuals to meet the diverse needs of its residents, including clothes, vehicles, and monetary support. As the only 24/7 open-intake youth shelter in the state, Covenant House serves a crucial role, extending its reach to a 4-state region including Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
