The Soul Rebels premiered a live version of Michael Jackson’s “Off the Wall” on November 5 as part of their effort to release one new song each week during their 10 week fall tour.

Having kicked off the “Song of the Week” effort here with the world premiere of “Karate,” a song they recorded live with Galactic, on October 8, the Soul Rebels have kept themselves busy with a mix of local and regional shows.
The Rebels will remain mostly in New Orleans through December, when they will travel to the World Jam Music Fest in South Africa before wrapping up the tour with shows in New York, Chicago, Columbus, Ohio, and a triumphant finale in New Orleans on December 19 at the Blue Nile.
Until then, look for them at their regular haunt, Le Bon Temps Roule, for regular Thursday night shows, at the Treme Creole Gumbo Festival, and at Tulane University’s Homecoming on November 15.
