Southern Food and Beverage Institute Sponsors “Calling It Home” Festival

This Saturday and Sunday (November 2-3), the Southern Food and Beverage (SoFaB) Institute sponsors the inaugural Calling It Home Festival at the Docville Farm in Violet, LA. The event, a celebration of St. Bernard Parish’s culture, will feature music on two stages as well as local arts and crafts exhibits, and food. On Saturday, the St. Bernard United Way will host a jambalaya cook-off from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Acts on the bill include local favorites Paul Sanchez, Gal Holiday and Bruce Daigrepont and more. It will run from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 2) and 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday (Nov. 3). The Docville Farm is located at 5124 E. Saint Bernard Highway (map).
