Spotted Cat reopens with live music as a first on Frenchmen since Covid shutdown

The Spotted Cat, , will reopen with live music on Friday, March 26 as the first club on Frenchmen Street to restore indoor entertainment since the COVID shutdown began more than a year ago in March 2020.

The club’s website issued a statement: “Our staff, along with our family of musicians, have missed entertaining our many fans, both locally and around the world. With local restrictions having been lifted (sort of), it is time for us to make our return. If this past year has taught us anything, it’s that all that all things change and people have a way of coming together to adapt with new circumstances. The Cat is no different.”

Tickets may be purchased in advance and parties will be seated at spaced-out tables. Bartenders will provide table service. No more than 10 people in a party are allowed at one table. Those who purchase two tables should email management for a request to sit together. The club is only offering full-table ticket sales at the present time.

Each show will consist of two sets lasting for an hour and a half. Shows will start and end promptly with the allotted time on the purchased ticket, allowing management to properly sanitize the room prior to the next show.

There will be outside seating in a parklet before and after the shows, but those seats will be subject to a beverage purchase and available on a first come first serve basis. All shows are still 21 and up and refunds will only be permitted in the event that a show is canceled because of the limited space.
