The Meters, Galactic, The Revivalists to play new California music festival

The Meters, Galactic, The Revivalists and Preservation Hall Jazz Band  will all perform at the first-ever Arroyo Seco Weekend when it debuts Pasadena, CA on Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25.

17212016_381125902268757_528928965589447503_oThe newly-announced music festival will also feature headlining sets from Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Mumford & Sons, as well performances by Alabama Shakes, Weezer, The Shins, Dawes, Fitz & The Tantrums, Andrew Bird, Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires and many more.

Arroyo Seco Weekend will take place on the grounds of the Brookside Country Club, which is adjacent to the famed Rose Bowl stadium. The event is organized by GoldenVoice, the California music festival powerhouse behind events like Coachella, Desert Trip, Stagecoach and FYF Fest.

As of now, Arroyo Seco Weekend is the first post-Jazz Fest show to be added to The Meters schedule. The legendary New Orleans funk quartet will perform at New Orleans’ Orpheum Theater on Saturday, April 29 before helping close out the festival proper at the Fair Grounds on Sunday, May 7.

Tickets for Arroyo Seco Weekend will go on sale Monday, March 20.
