The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, known best for putting on Jazz Fest every year, has a mission statement to promote, preserve, and encourage Louisiana’s music, culture, and heritage. The organization has worked to award over $13.5 million in grants and funding in the last decade to support this mission.

Eligible parties to receive these grants include:

  • 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
  • Institutions of higher education.
  • K-12 public, private, and parochial schools.
  • Federally recognized tribal communities in the state of Louisiana.

It is important to note that each organization is only allowed to apply to one of the five grant categories. Also, any activities funded by these grants must occur in Louisiana between September 1, 2023, and August 31, 2024.
