The Office’s Craig Robinson Joins the funky Meters on Stage in Washington, D.C.

It was a special night in Washington, D.C., just a couple of blocks from the White House at the stately club, The Hamilton. The funky Meters threw down a set of vintage funk and a handful of blues shuffles on the first night of their East Coast run. Actor/Comedian Craig Robinson (The Office, Hot Tub Time Machine) served as the night’s master of ceremony and added vocals to a few cuts. Robinson came out mid-set to sing the Bill Withers classic “Use Me,” and later returned at drummer Russell Batiste’s request for him to skip and dance across the stage during the Meters staple, “Cissy Strut.” The energy was high and the fans certainly got what they came for. Enjoy these shots from the show…
