Water Seed, the New Orleans funk band who graced the cover of OffBeat Magazine in July 2019, is currently hosting a month-long residency at Nublu produced by The Bloom Effect, an established club in New York’s East Village. Nublu has gained recognition as a curator and tastemaker in the independent music scene. The residency comprises four shows featuring guest artists, including Tondrae Kemp, Kr3wcial, Ha Sizzle, Dawn Richard, Garrett Shider (aka Starchild Jr.), and others. Two shows have already taken place, with two more to come.

Water Seed’s music has been called “Future Funk,” combining pop, R&B, hip-hop, electronic and rock elements. The band has released several well-received albums, such as Wonder Love 1, We Are Stars, and Say Yeah!! Live at the Blue Nile. They have also achieved recognition as a Billboard Top 20 Charts Artist and Essence Magazine Emerging Artists.

Having already completed two successful shows, the band continues to impress audiences with its distinctive style. Their performances showcase their tight grooves, captivating melodies, and powerful vocals, leaving a lasting impression on concert-goers. With two shows remaining featuring Kr3wcial, Dawn Richard, and Starchild Jr., the excitement surrounding Water Seed’s residency at Nublu is mounting.
