Woodenhead to Celebrate 40 Years with Alumni Reunion Show

Woodenhead will celebrate their 40th anniversary with a very special show at Chickie Wah Wah this Saturday, December 26.

The eclectic insWoodenhead, 1983, OffBeat Magazine, May 2015trumental rock band, who graced the cover of OffBeat’s May 2015 issue, will welcome all surviving former members for an Alumni Reuion Show. Music from the band’s entire 40 year catalog–including tunes that have not been performed in decades–will be on the table, and the show will also pay tribute to Woodenhead’s original bassist, the late Edgar Lipps.

Alumni that are slated to perform include current members Jimmy Robinson (guitar), Fran Comiskey (keyboards), Mark Whitaker (drums) and Paul Clement (bass), along with founding member Dan Cassin (cello), original members Tommy Lachin and James “Animal” Comiskey (drums), and former members Dennis Elliot (violin), Lenny Jenkins (bass) and Angelie Trosclair (vocals).

Tickets for the show will be available at the door, and the music is set to begin at 9pm.

Brett Milano dove into Woodenhead’s 40 year history for our May 2015 cover story. Find out why the band has no commercial potential (and is damn proud of it) here.
