Tonight, jazz guitar master Lionel Loueke plays Snug Harbor with two local jazz musicians: Herlin Riley and David Pulphus. As usual at Snug, the band plays two sets at 8 and 10 p.m.

Born in Benin, Loueke became a member of the Thelonious Monk Jazz Institute after attending Berklee School of Music. His star rose in the jazz world after stints with Herbie Hancock and New Orleans-born trumpeter Terence Blanchard. Here he performs for one of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts.
