Jazz Fest News: McDermott Out, Moonshiners In

The unprecedented string of Jazz Fest changes continues as the New Orleans Moonshiners have been booked to replace Tom McDermott, who withdrew from the festival. The swing band will take his spot on the Lagniappe Stage Sunday at 1:40 p.m. There is no official explanation for McDermott’s withdrawal.

Ramsey Lewis Replaces Dianne Reeves

The Jazz Fest press office announced that due to an urgent family matter, Dianne Reeves will not appear at the Jazz Fest on Sunday, April 29. The Ramsey Lewis Electric Band will appear instead in the 4:10-5:25 p.m. slot in the Zatarain’s/WWOZ Jazz Tent.
