GatesFest 2023 features Marc Broussard, Cowboy Mouth, Preservation Hall All-Stars, more

The third annual GatesFest 2023 Music & Arts Festival will feature performances by Marc Broussard, Cowboy Mouth, Preservation Hall All-Stars, Lost Bayou Ramblers, Funk Monkey featuring Arsene DeLay and Cap Carter, an Australian singer-songwriter making his US debut.

The festival returns Sunday, April 2, from 12 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., on the grounds of Congregation Gates of Prayer at 4000 W. Esplanade Avenue S. in Metairie.

In addition to live music, GatesFest 2023 will feature food from local restaurants, an artist village of 20+ local and regional artists, roaming brass bands and second lines between stage performances as well as a Family Fest Area.

Named in honor of the Jewish Community Day School and J-FLEx, the Family Fest Area will include snacks, arts & crafts, children’s music, magicians, storytellers and more.

New this year, Krewe of Gatesfest and Composer VIP packages will provide guests with private 10×10 tents in prime viewing areas that include personal coolers loaded with snacks and beverages, as well as upgraded restrooms, priority parking, and a fully catered VIP Party with an intimate performance from one of the featured GatesFest artists the night before.

General admission tickets cost $25, with children under 12 admitted free. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit GatesFest 2023.

All proceeds from the event support Congregation Gates of Prayer and the Gates Preschool.
