Black Masking Indians on Super Sunday 2022

Accompanied by second line brass bands, Baby Dolls and members of social aid and pleasure clubs, the Super Sunday procession of colorful feathers and beaded patches worked its way through the streets of Central City in New Orleans on March 20.

 

Among the many tribes represented were the Golden Eagles, Golden Comanche, Spirit of Fi-Yi-Yi, Mohawk Hunters, Wild Magnolias, Creole Wild West, Wild Tchoupitoulas and many others.

Big Chiefs of various tribes of Black Masking Indians, including Monk Boudreaux of the Golden Eagles, Howard Miller of the Creole Wild West, Victor Harris of the Spirit of Fi-Yi-Yi, and Bo Dollis Jr. of the Wild Magnolias were spotted in the procession.
