Bob Weir, Don Was and Jay Lane to rock Fillmore NOLA as the Wolf Bros

Fillmore New Orleans, the newly minted performance venue located on the second floor of Harrah’s casino, will officially open next month. Shows are already booked through June and boast the likes of Foo Fighters, Duran Duran, Gucci Maine, Willie Nelson, Garbage and more.

On Sunday, March 24, the Fillmore will host Bob Weir and the Wolf Bros. Weir needs no introduction, but for those who are unfamiliar, the man is a founding member of The Grateful Dead. These days, Weir is busy as a member of Dead & Company, the band he created with Dead co-members Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, along with John Mayer.

The musician and songwriter founded yet another band, this one a trio with Don Was and Jay Lane. Together, they’ll perform as Bob Weir and the Wolf Bros. Was is a venerated record producer and musician whose work as a bass player who once led the 1980s band Was (Not Was). His extensive work with The Rolling Stones has made him one of the most successful producers in rock music. The multiple GRAMMY Award-winner currently serves as president of Blue Note Records. Lane is a highly acclaimed drummer who has played in bands including Furthur and the Golden Gate Wingmen. He’s also played extensively with Weir, joining him in bands RatDog and Scaring The Children.

Ticket pre-sales for Bob Weir and the Wolf Bros at Fillmore NOLA go on sale on Wednesday, January 16. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
