Comedian, voice actor H. Jon Benjamin to speak at Tulane

Comedian, writer, voice actor and struggling musician H. Jon Benjamin will speak at Tulane University’s McAlister Auditorium on Wednesday, March 22. He will be the first comedy speaker to appear at the school during this year’s spring semester.

Benjamin is best known for his voice acting work, which includes roles as the title characters on Bob’s Burgers and Archer, though fans of the cult-classic animated comedies Home Movies and Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist will know him as the voices of Coach McGuirk and Ben.

Benjamin also released an “experimental jazz” album called Well, I Should Have… via the Sub Pop label in 2015. If the records subtitle—”Should Have Learned to Play Piano”—doesn’t make his lack of musical ability clear, then the songs “I Can’t Play Piano, Pt. 1” and “I Can’t Play Piano, Pt. 4 (Trill Baby Trill)” probably do the trick.

Admission to the event will be on a first come, first serve basis. Doors for Tulane students, faculty and staff will open at 7:15pm, with doors opening for the general public at 7:30pm.
