Cowboy Mouth and Flow Tribe bring the noise to Inaugural Infield Festival at the Fair Grounds Race Course this Saturday

A whole lot of music will be hitting the New Orleans Fairgrounds next month, but there will also be a big shot of it this weekend.

Infield Festival NOLA 2013

In conjunction with the Louisiana Derby’s 100th Anniversary year, Cowboy Mouth and Flow Tribe will play as part of the inaugural  Infield Festival.  Neither band is a stranger to the Fairgrounds; Cowboy Mouth is long renowned for its rabble-rousing live shows there and Flow Tribe is currently a big deal on the college circuit.

Both bands should draw quite a crowd out to the race track this weekend, where we are finally seeing more and more top-level derbies returning to New Orleans since some struggling downtime at the Fairgrounds right after Katrina. 100 years is a big one for the Louisiana Derby and the Infield Festival looks to only strengthen the ranks of the city’s long list of premiere cultural festivals as the annual celebration of the city’s long and storied horse racing culture.
