Legendary New Orleans arranger, producer and songwriter Wardell Quezergue died last Tuesday of congestive heart failure. His funeral takes place this morning at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (2022 St. Bernard Ave.) starting at 9 a.m. with the Visitation and a musical tribute. That ends at 10:30, and a funeral Mass will be performed at 11. We’ve been told there will be a second line, and the Repast will take place at the Musicians’ Union office (2401 Esplanade Ave.).
